It has been an interesting week, beginning with me feeling rather down in the dumps, broadly unmotivated and kind of existentially burned out, and ending with me feeling energized, focused, and excited for the future. In terms of hard-hitting local reporting, I suspect this newsletter will be somewhat lacking, but in terms of personal narrative, it will be interesting!
What I've Been Up To
Monday, as mentioned in the previous newsletter, was Trivia night at Deluxe Bar and Grille. My crack team of fact knowers actually did quite well, scoring fourth place (really fifth because there was a tie for third), out of about a dozen teams. It was a lot of fun and my only qualm is that there was not enough seating in the trivia area-- which was actually the pool area-- so we ended up constantly getting elbows in our faces as people tried to line up their perfect shots. The food there was good, not incredible but certainly respectable, though a bit pricy for pub fare. Good time, would go again, but probably get food earlier and just sit around waiting for trivia.
Tuesday was peak depression for me, girlgoose and I did go for a fun little morning walk to Tailwind cafe, where we got a sandwich and some coffee and I spent some time reading. I must confess that as I am writing this, looking at this sandwich is making me very hungry. Spent the rest of the day not doing very much, and when girlgoose went to go get dinner with our friend I felt sad and went to bike around Volunteer Park.
Wednesday was a day of surprises, starting off like any other day. After my daily calendar scan, I saw a fun looking bike ride on the Seattle Bicycle Advisory Board calendar (yes my tangled mess of calendars has some value). Realizing I had nothing else going on, I committed to going, sadly once again missing a trip to Hui Lau Shan with girlgoose and . It was a great trip though, we basically biked right down 12th Ave until it gets near Beacon Hill and mysteriously becomes 15th Ave, then down to Columbia City, and back around. We got dinner and drinks at Peloton Cafe, and I heard so much incredible urbanist tea from everyone there (Including , which was a huge surprise!! He's super cool). Also as an aside, Peloton Cafe had a frankly incredible brisket sandwich, which I have thought about numerous times since this fateful day.
So after this great bike riding experience, I headed home and was surprised to in rapid succession get an invite from to go to an as of yet unreleased event (funny enough, now elapsed and the cause for the delay in publishing this), and also sent me a text asking if I wanted to meet to become a cofounder in !! So many things happening this day! I was also exhausted when I got home.
Thursday was a fun day as well, after my friends got off of work, we did a bike ride to Magnuson Park, where showed us how to set up a hammock, and I got to practice my drone flying skills in the real world. Sadly I didn't yet have a functioning SD card in my goggles, so no first person view of what were some very scenic flights. I have some pictures though, courtesy of , who I lent my camera to while I flew.
Friday, I met with at Gloom Coffee, one of my fav places in settle. The baristas there are insanely chill and they have a great coffee selection and surprisingly mugs and such. We chatted about what our visions were for comail, what kind of stuff I'd like to do there, what kind of work I'd want to focus on, and decided it would be a good fit! So now I am hitched onto the comail wagon! We're gonna make email awesome, sending it, receiving it, deleting them, all that stuff, and more, with control under your personal account. I'm definitely nervous, but very excited to build this out and spread the word about what we (mostly scott until very recently) have been working on. Later that day, my friend Amy had a birthday party for her two dogs Mac and Marshmallow. Happy birthday lil guys! Here is one single photo of Marshmallow ( I was too busy losing at pool to take more )
And now ladies and gentlegeese, we have arrived at the Weekend. Saturday I cancelled my Arboretum walk, which I have frankly been doing pretty much every week lately, and went on a fun bike ride with (we love a biking king, bro has v12 engines in each leg). We went to Pleasant Beach on Bainbridge, and did a long loop with a spicy (read impossible) hill that just appeared out of nowhere. Even with the incredible power of electricity at my disposal, I found it easier to just walk up. On this trip, I saw some of the craziest most massive mansions I've ever seen, including lots of wild compounds with MULTIPLE houses hidden behind huge gates. Truly, the mortals of Seattle cannot comprehend what these Bainbridge folk are living with. Anyways, here's some photos.

What's Coming Up
Frankly, this week is already almost over, so I'm going to skip this section (in this issue), so I can catch up a bit on the next issue!
Best of the Net
I didn't really save any links this week owing to it being sort of hectic. Go scroll the discover page on Leaflet, there's lots of good stuff there! I'll get back to a more regular format next week.
This weeks Waddlin' is a bit weird, but hoping to get back on a normal schedule next week! I'm trying to get a head start on it now, but my best of the net collection is still empty. What's good on there anyway?? Anyways, thanks for reading this sort of scatterbrained edition, I just got back from a trip so this post is even more delayed and off-kilter than usual.
